It all started with a decision.

Merriman’s Furniture began in 1980 when Vernon and Darlene Merriman purchased a small furniture store on the corner of 5th and Main in Woodward, Oklahoma. In the early days of the business, there were many late nights for the Merriman’s and with hard work comes success. Making careful choices in employees as well as furniture products, has proven to be a formula for growth.

A Company On The Move:
Merriman’s Furniture has grown several times over the years and in 1995 the Merriman’s purchased the old “Kristi’s Dancehall” building on Hwy 270 southeast of Woodward and became “The Largest Showroom in Northwest Oklahoma”.

Disaster leads to a New Beginning:
The store suffered a devastating blow on March 26, 2009, when a late spring snowstorm triggered the collapse of the building. They were blessed as many friends and furniture representatives showed up to help with all aspects of this disaster. We are back, bigger, and better than ever at our showroom in Northwestern Oklahoma, located at 22282 US Hwy 270 S in Woodward, OK. We appreciate the loyalty and support of our customers and friends from the tri-state area.
